Is it strictly platonic?
Yes, strictly. Trustpanion is platonic company and everyday help for older adults, nothing else. Both sides are identity-verified, and our Code of Conduct draws a hard line: crossing it means removal. That rule is there to protect you.
How much do I earn, and how does payment work?
You set your own rate for your time (hour, half day or day). Right now you arrange payment directly with the client and, as a founding companion, you keep 100%. When in-app payments launch, a 15 to 20% platform commission will apply: announced in advance.
Is it safe for me?
Every client verifies their identity before booking, so you always meet a real, verified person. You can block anyone by phone or email (even before they join), home visits run on session codes, you can ask to meet somewhere public first, and you have in-app safety tools.
Do I need a background check?
Not to offer everyday company and help: verifying your identity is enough. A background check is only required if you want to offer companionship to older adults, one of the most in-demand and best-paid categories.
What would I actually do?
Whatever you are good at and enjoy: conversation and company for an older adult, company to a medical appointment, a hand with technology, a home-cooked meal, company to church or an event, company on a trip to the shops, or a game of cards or chess. You choose the plans you offer.
Is there any commitment or quota?
None. There are no schedules, quotas or targets. You set your hours and accept only the bookings you want, and you can pause or leave anytime.
