Questions, answered
What is Trustpanion?
A place to spend real, human time with a verified local who is there for an older adult: conversation and company, a hand with technology, company to a medical appointment, a home-cooked meal or a game of cards. Identity is verified on both sides and it stays strictly platonic.
What can I do with a companion?
Each companion offers plans they enjoy and know well: company and conversation, a hand with technology, company to a medical appointment or an event, a home-cooked meal, company on a trip to the shops, or a game of cards or chess. You book their time and choose the plan together.
How does pricing work?
You pay for the companion's time at their rate. The cost is based on time, not on the plan you choose. You cover your own food, drinks and tickets. In-app cashless payment is coming soon; for now you agree the payment directly with your companion.
Can I book company for an older relative?
Yes. A family member can book companionship for an older adult and receive visit updates and a record of the hours. It is company and conversation, not clinical care.
What about safety?
Everyone verifies their identity on both sides, companions offering company for older adults are background-checked, a first meeting can start somewhere public if you prefer, and everything happens in the app with ratings and reports.
How do you verify people?
We check a government ID and a live selfie, on both sides, in the United Kingdom and Chile. No anonymous profiles.
Where are you launching?
The United Kingdom, Chile and the United States, each in its own language (English or Spanish).
Is Trustpanion safe and legitimate?
Yes. Trustpanion is operated by JurisChain Limited (company no. 15561727), trading as Trustpanion, and every account verifies a government ID and a live selfie before booking. Meetings run on session codes that the client controls, messaging stays inside the app, and companions offering company for older adults are background-checked.
Can I arrange visits for my parent if I live far away?
Yes, Trustpanion is designed for exactly that. You book the visit from anywhere and agree the payment directly with the companion, you hold the start and end codes, and you chat with the companion in the app to hear how the visit went.
Is Trustpanion a care agency?
No. Companions offer social company and everyday help: conversation, visits, walks, company on a trip to the shops, accompaniment to appointments, a home-cooked meal. They never provide personal or clinical care, never handle anyone's money and never shop on anyone's behalf. If your relative needs regulated care, a companion complements it, never replaces it.
I want to be a companion. How much do I earn?
You set your own rate for your time, and as a founding companion you keep 100% of it: for now, payment is agreed directly with your client. When in-app payments launch, Trustpanion will keep a 15-20% commission per booking. There is no fee to join or to list what you offer; we only earn when you do.
How does verification work for companions?
Trust is built in three levels. Level 1: a quick live selfie confirms your face matches your profile photos, processed on your own device, and lets you publish your profile. Level 2: a government-ID check is required the moment you accept your first booking, so every meeting happens between identity-verified people. Level 3: an optional validated background check earns the highest badge and is mandatory to offer company for older adults.
